AUTHORITY

APPOINTMENT

Eleven members as follows:

a.	Seven elected. The Board of Supervisors appoints at the request of the District, in lieu of an election, if only one person or no one is nominated for each office.
	Any vacancy in the Board of Directors shall be filled by a majority of the remaining directors and the person so chosen shall hold office for the remainder of the unexpired term.
b.	Four directors appointed by the Board of Directors. One nominee shall be nominated by each of the following purveyor and submitted in writing to the Board of Directors: 1. Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 36 2. Santa Clarita Water Company 3. Valencia Water Company 4. Newhall County Water District

TERM OF OFFICE

Four years.

QUALIFICATIONS

Directors of a Division must be an elector or landowner of real property in the Division and a resident of Los Angeles County.

A Director-at-Large must be an elector or owner of real property in the Agency and a resident of Los Angeles County.

Appointed directors may be a shareholder, director, officer, agent, or employee of the nominating purveyor, and shall be a registered voter within Los Angeles County or Ventura County.

DUTIES

The Agency incorporated as herein provided, shall have the power to acquire water from the State of California under the State Water Plan and to be a wholesale distributor of such water through a transmission system to be acquired or constructed by the Agency.
