AUTHORITY
Section 32100 et seq. of the Health and Safety Code.
APPOINTMENT
Elected. The Board of Supervisors appoints at the request of the District, in lieu of an election, if only one person or no one is nominated for each office.
TERM OF OFFICE
Four years.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a registered voter residing in the District.
If the District is divided into zones, check the Health and Safety Code for further requirements.
DUTIES
To establish, maintain and operate one or more health facilities situated within the territorial limits of the District.
