APPOINTMENT*

Elected. (Board appoints in lieu of election per resolution from the District) Appointments are made pursuant to the Public Resource Code Section 9314.

TERM OF OFFICE

Four years.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be an owner of land or a designated agent to a landowner within the District. Any agent of a landowner shall reside within the District. Members of the County Board of Supervisors shall not be eligible.

DUTIES

A Resource Conservation District may be formed for the control of runoff, the prevention or control of soil erosion, the development and distribution of water, and the improvement of land capabilities.
