A note from the Executive Officer
Welcome to the Executive Office web page.
The Executive Office supports the Board of Supervisors in performing its duties as the governing body of the
largest local government in the Nation. Each Board Office receives approximately $3.082 million dollars annually to
share with the constituents of their respective districts for the betterment of their communities. As Clerk of the
Board, the staff of the Executive Office prepares the Board’s weekly Agenda, and Statement of Proceedings and
maintains its official records, which date back to the 1850’s, and provides technology, accounting, procurement,
personnel, payroll, facility management and other administrative services to the Board of Supervisors.
The dedicated team of diverse and committed staff that makes up the Executive Office also provides a wide
variety of services directly to the public and other County departments. This includes staffing various County
commissions, committees and task forces; administering the Assessment Appeals Board; oversight of Conflict of
Interest Codes and enforcing the Lobbyist Ordinance.
The Executive Office is committed to setting the standard for high quality information and services to the public.
It also recognizes its responsibility to the environment and to providing more efficient delivery of services.
The Executive Office now offers e-filing applications such as electronic board letter submissions, assessment
appeals filings and conflict of interest filings with more electronic changes on its way. Our vision of the future
is a government that is cognizant of the needs of our citizenry and the environment.
